Angel Warm Springs

Hot Spring

Orange-rust colored warm springs 4km southeast of Kelowna. Although not suitable for soaking, the warmest water can be found uphill from the main springs.

Embark on an adventure to uncover a hidden treasure in the southeast of Kelona - a group of little-known springs nestled near the stunning Kettle Valley Railway. The journey to the springs involves a moderately challenging 4 km hike with an elevation gain of 420 m, but the trail is well-marked and easy to follow. In about 30 minutes, you'll arrive at the springs, marked by their brilliant orange-rust color and located beside the trail in a deep forest. The water is slightly cloudy, with a strong iron taste due to the presence of algae and iron minerals. With a temperature range of 21° to 29°C, it's too cool for soaking, but the warmest water can be found uphill from the main springs.

While the springs may not be the main attraction, the Kettle Valley Railway is definitely worth exploring, particularly the Myra Canyon section. You can reach this popular stretch by continuing east on McCulloch Road and taking a steep side road to the right, or by driving up June Springs Road. For the most breathtaking views, park in the large open area on your right and hike to the largest trestles.
