Takhini Hot Springs

Hot Spring

Formerly Takhini Hot springs, now developed into the Eclipse Nordic Spa.

The Takhini Hot Springs in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, was closed for more than a year, but a new facility called Eclipse has opened. The hot springs are heated by geothermal activity, and the new facility seamlessly blends Scandinavian and Japanese Onsen healing practices. The Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs Ritual combines the benefits of thermotherapy with the mineral-rich hot spring waters.

The Eclipse Pool is the largest and the main attraction of the facility. Its Japanese design is complemented by cascading waterfalls, rock-lined pool walls, and a variety of immersion options. The pool offers various seating options, including lay-down areas, recliner boulders, and stone benches. The Onsen Pool is smaller and entirely lined with rock, fed by a cascading waterfall, and overflow into a small creek. The Aurora Pool is the centerpiece of the expansive patio, accessed via a heated and covered ramp. It provides a panoramic view of the surrounding area, and its contoured benches with lumbar support are placed to face one another on the two wings of the "V." The Hidden Pool is tucked away behind the Eclipse Pool and comfortably seats four people.

Eclipse offers a range of activities, including outdoor showers, loungers, a cold plunge, Japanese clay tubs, and barefoot walks. In winter, a temporary fence shields you from the wind. The Eclipse Experience is designed for optimum relaxation and rejuvenation, with organic magic inspired by the healing energies of the hot springs. It's an ideal place for peaceful solitude or spending quality time with friends and family while honoring your body, mind, and spirit.
